Dr. Mark Linzer and his team have been researching the origins and contributors to physician and medical provider stress and burnout for over 20 years. Through our randomized control studies, we have been able to study the drivers for burnout and interventions that can help. We’d like to use this research to help you!
Ongoing projects: studies following the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) funded Healthy Work Place study (HWP), such as the trust in clinicians and patient study for the American Board of Internal Medicine and studies following MS Squared, an AHRQ funded project to assess stress from the electronic medical record (EMR).
Future projects (such as MD-SOS with investigators at Harvard and the University of MN) will assess relationships between diagnostic errors, work conditions, and clinician reactions such as stress and burnout.
Check out our work!
